Keith G. McKinnis

Keith G. McKinnis, age 67, of Davenport, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date and will be announced.

Keith was born on August 5, 1958, in New York, NY, to Everett and Ruth (Bluford) McKinnis.

He grew up in Waterloo and started working at Eagles at the age of 16. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in sociology. He moved to the Quad Cities after graduation and later worked at Joevan Foods and later at HyVee in management for 24 years. Keith was united in marriage to Michelle Schroeder on November 13, 1999, in Buffalo, IA.

Keith enjoyed all sports, but played golf and bowled in various leagues.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle; daughters, Nikol McKinnis of Waterloo, Madison, Olivia, and Kylie McKinnis all of Davenport. He is also survived by a grandson, Greyson; and a step-sister, Diane Wyatt of Colorado, and step-brother, Dennis Anderson of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Eugene, step-brother, Carl; and step-sister, Valarie.
