Kayla M. McManigal, 33, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Cremation will take place following services at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for Kayla’s children.

Kayla Marie Callahan was born on January 12, 1993, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Shannon Callahan and Mary (Ewing) Farber. She graduated from Moline High School with the Class of 2012. She later took classes to study phlebotomy and worked her way into marketing/admissions at Bettendorf Health Care Center.

She was recently becoming a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, anything Disney, attending concerts, and living life to the fullest. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she was already looking forward to decorating Christmas in July. She was also a purse enthusiast, a passion she proudly shared with her sister. Above all, Kayla cherished her family. She loved being a mother, and her children were the center of her world.

Kayla is survived by her husband, Scotty McManigal of Coal Valley, Illinois; children, Charlie and Harlow of Coal Valley, Illinois; father, Shannon Callahan of Bettendorf, Iowa; mother and step-father, Jason and Mary Farber of Coal Valley, Illinois; sister, Marissa (David) Haberkorn of Davenport, Iowa; brother, Logan (Jamie) Callahan of Quincy, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Simon Haberkorn, Iris Haberkorn, Caden Callahan, Colton Callahan, and Cora Callahan; grandmother, Sandy Callahan of Bettendorf, Iowa; and her close friend, Jordan Schaller of Davenport, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
