Moline, Illinois Kathryn Mason, 93, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Moline, IL passed away Saturday, September 1, 2001 at Bentley Village Care Center, Naples, FL. Memorial Services are 11:00 AM, Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, IL Officiating will be the Reverend Dr. Robert Miller of First Congregation Church, Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Trimble Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Naples, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105, or to a favorite charity. Kathryn was born August 9, 1908 in Chariton, IA the daughter of Nora and George (Teas) Beagley. She married Ralph L. Mason November 27, 1946 in Ottumwa, IA. He preceded her in death in 1992. Kathryn, a graduate of the Iowa State Teachers College, and taught first and second grades in Lost Nation, IA and Ottumwa, IA prior to her marriage. She and her husband Ralph vacationed in Naples and spent many years dividing time between Naples and Moline before permanently moving to Naples in 1988. She had been a resident of Bentley Village maintaining independent living in her apartment until moving to the Bentley Care Center in June of 2000. Kathryn was a member of the First Congregational Church, Moline, and the Naples United Church of Christ. She was a lifelong member of P.O.E. Chapter KT, as well as serving many service and civic organizations both in Naples and in Moline. Survivors include a daughter, Liz Mason of Moline, two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Norma Mason of Anacortes, WA and Don and Midge Mason of Bettendorf, IA; five grandchildren, Kathryn (John) Vanderput, Calgary, Alberta, Pam (Allen) Foster, Houston, TX, Jim (Michelle) Mason, St. Petersburg, FL, Don (Cheri) Mason, Cameron, IL, and Laura Mason, Chicago, IL; four great-grandchildren, Alexandra Vanderput, Emma and Wake Foster, and Samantha Mason.
