Kathryn D. Burklund

Kathryn D. Burklund, 73, of Moline, Illinois, passed Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Allure of the Quad Cities.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to Elim Covenant Church in Moline or to the family for a fund to be established.

Kathryn Darlene Burklund was born on January 12, 1953, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Margie (Dumbar) Burklund. She graduated from Moline High School and dedicated her career to helping others however she could. She enjoyed working at the Arc of the Quad Cities, helping the individuals there with their daily tasks or errands.

She was a member of the Elim Covenant Church in Moline, Illinois. She loved horses, crossword puzzles, playing games on her phone, and listening to music, especially songs by Josh Groban.

Kathryn is survived by her brothers, Brian Burklund and Glenn (Cindy) Burklund; aunts, Marcia Teshak, Greta Wilborg, and Bronita Post; nieces and nephews, Ellen, Earl Jr., Heather, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Glenn Jr.; and her beloved cats, Josh and Winslow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Margie Burklund; sister, Christine Burklund; aunt, Joyce Cant; and uncle, Bruce Burklund.
