Kathleen Rae Kraklow was born on August 16, 1937, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Elda (Butler) Kraklow. She married Robert Clary on July 25, 1953. The couple had two children and had shared 32 happy years together when he passed away unexpectedly in 1985. She later married Warren Secoy in Coal Valley. He died January 27, 2013.
She worked as a cashier at Turnstyle and later Venture Stores in Moline, where she worked her way up to head cashier, and finally HR Manager prior to retiring. She was a 70-year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Coal Valley. She was also a proud member of a card club whose friendship and fellowship spanned more than 50 years.
In her free time, she enjoyed scrapbooking and cross-stitching, lovingly creating an American Girl Doll cross-stitch for each of her granddaughters to treasure. She also liked spending time outdoors, especially at the family lake house in Minnesota. There, she and Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, and created memories with their family.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Luann Matlick and Michael Clary both of Coal Valley; grandchildren, Rachel (Tim) MacCall, Erica (Shawn) Cushman, Jyni (Justin) Seabloom, Amanda (Doug) Gross, and Sara McColl; six great-grandchildren, Cole (Sylvia), Mallory, Tyler, Michale, Korrin, and Ally; one great-great-grandson, Jackson, with one on the way; brother, Stephen Kracklow; and best friends, Bonnie Engstrom and Mary Taube. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Clary and Warren Secoy; parents, Richard and Elda Kraklow; son-in-law, Sidney Matlick; grandson, Jeffrey Matlick; great-grandson, Sydney McColl; and sister, Judy Pierson.
