Karna L. Karn, 87, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Harvest Meadow Estates, Durant, Iowa.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 9, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gigi’s Playhouse.
The former Karna Fuller was born December 1, 1937, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Evelyn (Robertson) Fuller. She married the love of her life, Merle Boyce Karn on February 19, 1955, in Moline. He died August 14, 2024.
She worked as an x-ray technician for Lutheran Hospital and later as a receptionist at Medical Arts for several years. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She also loved music, playing the organ and also the accordion in the “Salvation Army String Band”. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Karna, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Karna is survived by three children, Merle "Butch" (Phyllis "Pedie") Karn, Jr. of Atkinson, Illinois, Diana Fossum of Bettendorf, and Michael "Mike" (Dee) Karn of Cambridge, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Fuller of Ocala, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Patricia Ann Karn; her grandson, Jarrett Fossum; and a brother, Richard Fuller.
