Justine J. Solbrig

Justine J. Solbrig, 78, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Justine Joy Solbrig was born on November 5, 1946, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of John and Harriet (Fawcett) Solbrig. She attended trade school to earn her degree as a medical assistant and went on to work in the laboratory at Genesis for more than 30 years.

She enjoyed crocheting and reading in her free time. She was also a devoted animal lover, always caring for her many cats and her dog. Even as it became harder for her to get around, she still rushed outside just a week ago to rescue a kitten from the swimming pool. She had a heart of compassion and gold. She loved her plants and gardening, but most of all cherished any time spent with her grandchildren.

Justine is survived by her children, Deborah Gulick of Davenport, Dale Harper of Davenport, Rebecca McKay of Washington State, and Christine Bozarth of Davenport; her beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Stephany, Jillyan, Shelby, Samantha, Seth, Dallan, Dracen, and Ashley; 6 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Tim Solbrig. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred Solbrig.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who were touched by her life.
