Julio Cesar Trejo Cano, 37, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 7, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Visitation is 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Additional services will be announced in Mexico followed by burial. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral and burial expenses.

Julio was born August 16, 1988, in Mexico, the son of Maria Dolores Cano Salinas and Martin Trejo Cortez.

His passion was also his career, working as a cook for several area restaurants, most recently for Square Family Restaurant in Davenport. When he wasn’t cooking for work, he enjoyed grilling out and cooking for family and friends. He also enjoyed watching soccer (football).

Julio is survived by his parents, Maria Dolores Cano Salinas and Martin Trejo Cortez; his son, Osmar Trejo of Moline; step-daughter, Azul Yahel Mendoza Rojas; granddaughter, Leana Mendoza Rojas; sister, Karen Trejo; and nephews, Alex and Alan Trejo.
