Judith Ann Catour was born on April 16, 1945, in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Anna May (Riggs) Catour. She graduated from Orion High School in 1963. She married John Wassenhove and later married James Langston.

She was a lifelong antiques dealer, setting up at antique shows and flea markets throughout Illinois and Iowa for 50 years. She proudly opened and ran her own antiques shop Apple Ann's Antiques in Alpha, Illinois for 11 years. After retiring from the antiques business, Judy continued serving her community by working her dream job at the New Windsor Library for eight years.

She was a member of the Alpha Lions Club and was known for her generosity and frequent donations. Judy enjoyed gardening, collecting and searching for antiques, attending garage sales and flea markets, reading western romance novels, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her family and took great pride in Michael and Danny’s service in the United States Military.

Judy was survived by her children, John (Peggy) Wassenhove, Michael (Ani) Wassenhove, Dianna Wassenhove, Darin Wassenhove, and Suzi (Jake) Langston; grandchildren, Christopher, Justin, and Dan Wassenhove; siblings, Don (Jackie) Catour, Janet (Dick) Noble, John (Aeja) Catour, Jim (Anna) Catour, Dan (Vickie) Catour, Barb (Tom) Carroll, Rick Catour, and Mary (Howie) Noakes; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna May Catour; siblings, Dave “Shorty” Catour, Rob Catour, and Patti McAtee; nephew, Jake Catour; and a niece, Sarah Carroll.
