Joyce Grubbs, 81, of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, May 17, 2024, in Clarissa C. Cook, Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa

A private celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory.

The former Joyce Marie Godwin was born February 7, 1943, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Lloyd and Marguerite (Marrs) Godwin.  She married Herman Grubbs on January 28, 1961, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  She was a nurse and a domestic violence advocate.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Herman; children and spouses, Trula and Lonn Hensler, Steve and Kelli Grubbs, and Shannon Butcher; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
