Joseph E. Holecek

Joseph E. Holecek, 71, of Davenport, Iowa, passed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. A celebration of life will be held in the future. Memorials may be made to the family.

Joseph Earl Holecek was born on April 1, 1954, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Lavenia (Cox) Holecek. He spent many years working as a carpenter, a trade that reflected his ability to build and fix things with his hands.

In his free time, Joseph enjoyed riding his motorcycle, attending local events, and staying busy with hands-on projects. He appreciated simple pleasures and took pride in the work he did and the life he built.

Joseph is survived by his children, Tara A. Hahn, Joseph D. Holecek, and Michael Joseph Stell; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.
