Jeffrey S. Kettler

Jeffrey S. Kettler, 52, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Aperion Care, East Moline.

A gathering to celebrate Jeff's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Avenue Tap in Silvis. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Michelle Esslinger.

He was born June 26, 1965, in Moline, the son of James and Jane (Thiele) Kettler. He married Dee DeGraffenreid in 1983, and the couple had four children together in their 20-plus years of marriage. He was a delivery driver for several area companies including Flicks and Menards.

Jeff enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and playing basketball.

He is survived by four children, Michelle and Andrew Esslinger of Moline, Alan Kettler of Rock Island, Brett and Kathryn Kettler of Galesburg, and Jane and James Rose of Lone Tree, Iowa; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Bob and Vincie Kettler of Las Vegas, Nevada, Bruce and Deb Kettler of Coal Valley, Illinois, and Kirk Kettler of Punta Gorda, Florida; a sister, Cindy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
