Jean R. Helton

Jean R. Helton, 97, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at The Vistas at Bettendorf.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Jean Ruth Martin was born March 2, 1928, in Plymouth, Illinois, the daughter of Homer Henry and Myrtle Ivy Martin. She married Virgil Helton and the couple had four children prior to separating.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Diane (Ricardo) Cantu of Rock Island, Illinois, and eight grandchildren, Jeannie Cantu, Angel Cantu, Monty Cantu, Tiffany Helton, Tony Brekker, Crystal Munson-Wilson, Heather Helton, Rob Munson. She was preceded in death by her children, David, Michael and Mark Helton.
