Jason A. Wasson was born on December 6, 1975, at the Ramstein Air Base, in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany, the son of Debera Ann Lister. He was adopted by his father Larry Jay Wasson. He attended Spoon River Valley High School in London Mills before transferring to United Township High School in East Moline, where he graduated in 1996. He married Jennifer Williamson on September 25, 2010, in Knoxville, Illinois. They are forever high school sweethearts.
He was a man of many hats throughout his life, working as a chef, bouncer, laborer, and maintenance attendant. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in East Moline and was part of the Blackhawk Sunday Pool League for more than 22 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed playing magic, Xbox, and watching WWE wrestling. He was also a great cook, and Jennifer especially enjoyed his chicken and steak. Jason was ornery, quick-witted, and always ready with a joke. His sense of humor and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debera Wasson; maternal grandparents; father-in-law, Kenny Williamson; cousin, Kayrie Desmond, Jane Ann Davis, Jean Johnson, and Gene Overcash, who were special to him and Jennifrer; and friends, Marvin Klusman and Bob Tasker.
