Janet L. Catlin

Janet Catlin, 81, of Silvis, Illinois, passed through to eternity September 27, 2022 at the Wilton Retirement Community.

Private burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Cremation has taken place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Janet Lou Catlin was born September 25, 1941 in Muscatine, Iowa to James and Mary Dykstra.

She graduated from Wilton High School in 1959. She married Erling V. Catlin May 28, 1966, in Davenport, Iowa. He died August 16, 2022.  She enjoyed sewing, was active in the Amvets Auxiliary of Illinois, and was a member of Union Congregational Church in Moline, IL

She is survived by her brother Dennis Dykstra, sister-in-law Rita Dykstra, Nieces: Kelly Garvin, Denise Dykstra, Shannon (Jorge) Varela, Nephews: Jeff (Cindy) Dykstra, B.J. Dykstra, Gary Dykstra and Jon Jacobs, and many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents James and Mary Dykstra; her son Scott Catlin, brothers Jim Dykstra and Bob Dykstra, sister Karen Jacobs, sister-in-law Linda Dykstra, and niece Monica Jacobs.
