Janet K. Fincher

Janet K. Fincher, 88, of East Moline, passed Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Hope Creek Nursing Rehab & Care, East Moline.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .

Janet K Havens was born on January 29, 1938, in Bushnell, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Zelma (Graves) Havens. She was lovingly raised by her aunt and uncle, Cliff and Helen Hensley, in Bushnell, where she graduated from Bushnell High School. Janet devoted her life to her family and took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Troy Mitchell Fincher on April 20, 1956. They shared nearly 66 years of marriage before his passing on April 2, 2022.

She and Troy were faithful members of Bethany Baptist Church in Moline, where their faith was a guiding force throughout their lives. Outside of spending time with her family and church community, Janet especially enjoyed playing Bingo.

Janet is survived by her children, Mitchell (Doris) Fincher of Orlando, Florida, Terry Fincher of Bettendorf, Iowa, Carol (Steve) Carlson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Blake (Johanna) Fincher of Bellevue, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jacob, Erik (Kayla), Melanie (Drew), Alexis, Stephanie (Michal), Jeremiah, Nolan, Cooper, Gharet and Elizabeth; great-granddaughter, Grace; siblings, Lonnie (Diane) Havens of Bushnell, Illinois and Dixie Havens of South Carolina; and a brother-in-law, Bill (Evelyn) Fincher of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Zelma Havens; brother, Carl Havens; and her aunt and uncle, Cliff and Helen Hensley.
