James L. Johnson

James L. Johnson, 70, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Monday, April 29, 2024, at The Ivy at Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

James Lennis Johnson was born June 14, 1953, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Louis and Georgiette (Schreck) Johnson.  

He enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and fishing.  He also loved cooking and spending time with his friends. 

Jim is survived by two sons, Shane and Steve; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jasmine and Shane, Jr.; his siblings, Michael Flute, Patty Knapp, Bobby, Eddie, Mike, Wally and Larry; nieces and nephews, Jacqueline, Jackie, Patty and Sandy; and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by parents and twin brother, Joe.
