James M. Douglas

James M. Douglas, 66, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at home.

Services will be held at a later date.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. 

James Morgan Douglas was born August 11, 1957, in Moline, the son of John Wesley and Mary Ann (Warner) Douglas.  He married Tammy Howard, with whom he had three children prior to separating.  He later married Peggy McCall, with whom he remained good friends after separating.

He worked for Stetson Building Products in Rock Island as an assistant manager.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed cycling, and playing tennis and golf.  He was a music enthusiast and a talented vocalist, singing in several area bands over the years.  He loved anything to do with aviation and was a history buff. 

James is survived by three children, Adam (Jennifer) Douglas of Rock Island, Michael (Kortney) Douglas of Carbon Cliff, and Hannah Douglas of Moline; three grandchildren, Avary, Evelyn and Michael Douglas; three brothers, Mark, John and William Douglas; and his two beloved dogs, Rudy and Lucy.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
