Dec 6, 1956 — Jun 12, 2026

Coal Valley, Illinois

Jackie M. Eyth, 69, of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at home, with her loving family by her side.

Visitation is 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at First Evangelical Free Church, 3321 7th Street, Moline, immediately followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don McLean and Rev. Bob Crawford officiating. The family will greet friends at a funeral luncheon beginning at 12:30 p.m. at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Private burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery.

The former Jacqueline Marie Butler was born December 6, 1956, in Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of John and Phyllis (Blood) Butler. She married the love of her life, Don Eyth, on January 2, 1982, in Moline.

Jackie had so many passions, hobbies, and joys in life, it's almost impossible to list them all. She spent decades perfecting her gardens, and she split and shared her hostas to many friends' homes. She loved to dance and could recite for you which park had which band playing each night of the summer. She looked for every opportunity to host friends and family for dinners and game nights and always made sure to send everyone home with leftovers. She loved to travel, and her trips included Austria, Prague, Italy, France, the Panama Canal, Mediterranean cruises, Caribbean cruises, annual winter getaways to Florida, and exploring all parts of the U.S. Wherever she travelled, she made certain her itinerary was full morning to night.

Her greatest passion was her faith. She credited all good things in her life to the Lord, and she lived to be the hands and feet of Christ serving everyone she knew.

Jackie is survived by her beloved husband, Don; three children, Brandon Eyth of Coal Valley, Grant Eyth of Davenport, Iowa, and Caitlin Eyth of Bettendorf, Iowa; and two sisters, Judy Mills and Nancy Barton, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents.
