Jack V. Schneckloth

Jack V. Schneckloth, 82, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at home with his family by his side.

Private family services will be held. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Jack will be laid to rest at Jack's Cemetery in LeClaire, Iowa, at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County or Blessings Boutique in Blue Grass, Iowa.

Jack Vincent Schneckloth was born September 22, 1943, in Durant, Iowa, to Waldo "Wally" and Ethel (Buchmeier) Schneckloth. He graduated from Durant High School and, on December 4, 1976, married the love of his life, Jane Diederich, in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Jack began his career in the electrical trade as an apprentice at the age of 18. After working for many years with John Russell, he purchased Russell Electric in 1982 and successfully operated the business until his retirement in December 2001. Retirement opened the door to new chapters as he and Jane enjoyed living in Port Charlotte, Florida, and later Dothan, Alabama, before returning to the Quad Cities in 2024.

While living in Alabama, Jack and Jane were members of Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Dothan. Throughout his career, Jack was a member of both the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and golfing, and he remained a devoted sports fan throughout his life, cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Jane; his daughter, Barbi (Matthew Boeh) Ragan of LeClaire; his sister, Vickie (Dean) Stoltenberg of Walcott, Iowa; nieces, Sandy Stoltenberg and Maryann (Schuyler) Smith; his good friend, Don (Marcia Buckles) Pruitt; and his dog, Sally. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Darlene Kelly and Deanna Hager.
