Ivy L. Gasper

Ivy L. Gasper, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Rock Island and Moline, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Kahl Home, Davenport.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Ivy was born on May 14, 1937, in Lindsay, Nebraska, the daughter of Clem and Alice (Shumacher) Gasper. She graduated from Alleman High School and went on to enjoy a successful career in personnel administration with Deere & Company, where she worked until her retirement.

A faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island, Ivy had a passion for collecting antiques, possessed a gift for interior design, and loved spending time in her garden, yard, and as a seamstress. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

Ivy is survived by four siblings, Len Gasper of Bettendorf, Iowa, Larry (Trudy Gustafson) Gasper of Moline, Steve (Toni) Gasper of Rock Island, and Gayle Neuman of Rock Island; and many loving nieces and nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bardeen and Jim Monteyne, and Donna and Glen Lewis; sister-in-law, Jo Ellen Gasper; and brother-in-law, Guy Neuman.
