Harold S. Cady, Jr.

Harold S. “Steve” and “Bones” Cady, Jr. 61, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, April 7, 2022, in his home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Harold Stephen Cady, Jr. was born August 17, 1960, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Harold Sr. and Beverly (Ray) Cady. He married Rita Kelley and the couple later divorced. He later married Dawn E. Graap. She died November 28, 2021.

Bones was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working on cars.

Steve is survived by two children, Melanie (James) Justice of Bakersville, California, and Matthew Cady of Davenport; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Avery; siblings, Keith Cady of Greentop, Missouri, Sandy (Thomas) Crane of Mitchel, South Dakota, and Candy (Randy) Gray of Davenport; his step-father, Emmett Holst; five step-sisters; and three step-brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Cady, Sr. and Beverly Holst; his wife, Dawn Cady; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Cady.
