East Moline, Illinois

Harold “Wayne” Brewer, 76, of East Moline, Illinois, passed Friday, May 22, 2026.

A celebration of life will be from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Junior’s Sports Bar in East Moline, Illinois. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Harold Wayne Brewer was born January 12, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of William Vernon “Fats” Brewer and Edith Odell (Burns) Baumhardt, along with his step-father, Leo Baumhardt. He married Jonnie Hahn on October 15, 1993, in Rock Island, Illinois, and together they shared 32 years of marriage before her passing on May 15, 2026, just seven days prior to Wayne’s death.

Wayne enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, going fishing, and listening to music, especially classic country and R&B. He was a longtime patron of Junior’s Sports Bar in East Moline, where he formed many lasting friendships over the years. In his last few months, Wayne came to Christ and found comfort in hearing the Bible read aloud and in the prayers shared with him by his loved ones.

Wayne is survived by his children, Angel (Jeff) Brewer-Swartz, Tammy (Gene) Brewer-Simpkins, Charmie Brewer, Marcia Davis, Shawn (Sandy) Krakliow, and Quincy Brewer; step-daughters, Judith (Darwin) Woodin and Jody Hahn; 27 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Saundra Ceballos, Terry (Phoenix) Childers, Kathy (Tim) Mowery, and Benno Baumhardt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jonnie Brewer; father, “Fats” Brewer; mother and step-father, Edith and Leo Baumhardt; and siblings, Leo Baumhardt Jr., Susan (Jerry) Blandford, and Richard Baumhardt.
