Guadalupe was born September 19, 1940, in Mexico, the daughter of Jose De La Cruz Alcantar and Elvira Limas. She married the love of her life, Pedro Medrano, on December 26, 1971, in Mexico. Together they shared more than 50 years of devoted marriage before Pedro's passing on May 21, 2022.
Earlier in life, Guadalupe worked as a field laborer in Santa Paula, California, and as a seamstress. However, her greatest joy and life's calling were found in caring for her home, husband, and raising her four children. She poured her heart into her family.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Guadalupe found comfort and strength in prayer. More than anything, she cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Delia and Carlos Ramirez of Rock Island, Pedro Jr. and Delia Medrano of Santa Paula, Angel and Daisy Medrano of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, and Manuel and Crystal Medrano, of Beardstown, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, Rafael, Pedro, Erny, Antonio, Josiah, Izan, Arianna, Haziel, Alcantar, Maddox, and Colt; and many beloved nieces and nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro, her parents, and all nine of her siblings.
The family invites friends to share stories and condolences at TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
