George M. Collis, 68, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, in Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Animal Control.
George Matthew Collis was born August 21, 1955, in Moline, to Lyle C. and Betty Lou Frances (Hill) Collis. He was employed as a stocker for Eagle Foods. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking in the woods and camping, and loved his cats.
George is survived by three siblings and their spouses, John and Kathy Collis of Ophiem, Illinois, Carol Regaldo of El Centro, California, and L. Steven and Candace Collis of Rock Island; and eight nieces and nephews and their families.
