Genaro Sepeda

Genaro “Big G” Sepeda, 45, of Silvis, Illinois, died Monday, November 20, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City.

Services are 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline.  Visitation is from 3:00 until time of services.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Genaro Sepeda was born January 15, 1978, in Silvis, Illinois, the son of Juan and Cristina (Morales) Sepeda.  He married the love of life, Alicia Lara, on September 6, 2013, in Rock Island, Illinois.

He was a member of Templo Elim Asambleas De Dios, Rock Island.  He enjoyed wrestling, football, baseball, reading, camping, movies, traveling and family gatherings.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Big G, especially his beloved children. 

He is survived by his wife, Alicia Sepeda; three children, Lorenzo Sepeda of Moline, Jenaro Sepeda of East Moline, and Giano Sepeda of Silvis; his mother, Cristina Sepeda of Rock Island; two grandchildren, Yosiah and Lucian Sepeda; siblings, Juan (Blanca) Zepeda, Martha (Juan) Cuellar, and Jaime Sepeda; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his son, Giovanni Sepeda; his father, Juan Sepeda; grandfathers, Jose Zepeda and Carlos Morales; father-in-law, Juan Lara; and three cousins, Ricardo, Sandra and Felipe Morales.
