Gary R. Carlson

Gary R. Carlson, 80, of Colona, Illinois, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Zackary Glenn officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Colona United Methodist Church.

Gary Russell Carlson was born September 1, 1943, in Geneseo, Illinois, to Leonard “Shorty” and Darlene (Erdmann) Carlson. He married Gloria DeDobbelaere on September 16, 1967, in Moline, He was a design draftsman for JI Case. He was a member of Silvis Lodge #898, AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Moline, Shrine and Eastern Star, He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed playing golf.

Gary is survived by his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Wendy Baker and her husband Duane of Silvis, and Gayla Scott of Moline, and two grandchildren, Craig Baker and Ayden Scott. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Isaacson.
