Frances L. Laktas

Frances L. Laktas, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Harmony Utica Ridge, Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Frances Lucille Rusk was born October 2, 1934, in Galt, Missouri, the daughter of Gale and Alta Mae (Foster) Rusk.  She married Robert Collis, Sr. and the couple had three children prior to separating.  She married Thomas Laktas, and he preceeded her in death.

Frances owned and operated several Maid Rite restaurants in the Illinois Quad Cities.   Previously, she had worked at International Harvester.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Diane Hendricks) Collis, Jr. of Davenport.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Thomas Laktas and Robert Collis, Sr; and two daughters, Sandra Bullock and Barbara Collis.
