Floyd William Schwenneker was born July 3, 1923, in East Moline, Illinois, the son of William August and Muriel Mae (Loding) Schwenneker. He married Patricia Catherine Harney on August 27, 1952, in Baraboo, Wisconsin. She died December 16, 2001.

He worked for Sanitary Dairy, Swiss Valley Farms, and Land O’Lakes for over 30 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed traveling and wood crafting with his wife. They were known for their wooden lawn ornaments. He enjoyed fishing in general, but especially at Ballegeer Lake, and was already looking forward to the upcoming fishing season!

Floyd was a very caring man who always had a smile on his face and good word for everyone. He loved reminiscing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved being at home and visiting with his family. He loved to feed the birds and squirrels and the families of deer that visited his yard.

Floyd is survived by three children, Mike Schwenneker of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bruce (Cindy) Schwenneker of Ball Ground, Georgia, and Sandy (George) Maess of Milan; seven grandchildren, Sara, Jacob, and Zachary Schwenneker, Brett (Kristina) Schwenneker and Lisa Schwenneker, and Kevin (Kerri) Maess and Lindsay (Tony Chasar) Maess; great-grandchildren, Rhiannon, Gavin, Henry, and Ivy; and a brother, Wayne Schwenneker of Washington State. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Schwenneker; a special friend, Joyce Jacquin; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Mae (Frank) Sievert and Marilyn (Francis) Ballegeer.
