Ember Phoenix Hayne Williams-Brasmer, beloved daughter of Autumn Williams and Austin Brasmer, both of East Moline, Illinois, was born on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf, and passed away at birth.

Though Ember did not get to grow up in our arms, she was never unknown to us; her life was deeply known and profoundly felt. Ember had already filled her family’s hearts with a lifetime of dreams. Autumn and Austin, her siblings, grandparents, and all who loved her had imagined so many moments still to come — first smiles, bedtime snuggles, birthdays, holidays, and all the ordinary days that would have made up a life with her.

She was active and strong, a little fighter whose presence was felt every day. She knew the voices of the people who loved her, and she shared a special language with her daddy, Austin, who would tap on Autumn’s belly and wait for Ember to tap back — their own quiet Morse code, their own private conversation before she was born.

Services to celebrate Ember’s life will be announced in the near future.

Ember is survived by her loving parents, Autumn Williams and Austin Brasmer; her tender-hearted siblings, John and Rex Brasmer, Aurora Williams, and Nova McCannon-Williams; adoring grandparents, June Williams, Mick Stearns, Amanda and Rob Carfrae; proud great-grandparents, Karen Williams, LaRae Stearns, Jerry Stearns, Janet and Dave Taylor; as well as many doting aunts, uncles, and cousins.
