Elizabeth J. Cobb, 98, of Silvis, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, East Moline.

Private burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline.

The former Elizabeth Jean Hintz was born December 2, 1927, in Lowden, Iowa, the daughter of Edgar Sr. and Mildred (Spencer) Hintz. She played basketball while attending Lowden High School and graduated on May 16, 1946. On July 10, 1948, she married Edward Broksieck in Rock Island. He passed away April 20, 1966. She then married Grant Cobb on August 12, 1967. He passed away January 2, 2021.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling and hobbies, and just enjoyed life.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Lois (Tom) Genz of East Moline; granddaughter, Kathy (Vinnie) Genz Sotelo; great-granddaughters, Meagan (Jake) Kranich and Sarah Sotelo; great-great-grandsons, Wyatt and Grayson Kranich; and siblings, Robert Hintz, Doris Lehrman, and Margaret Ford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; son-in-law, Tom Genz; and siblings, Barbara Hintz, Luella Potter, Raymond Hintz, Edgar Hintz, Jr., and Darlene Jellings.
