Elida A. Warren

Elida Ann “Lee” Warren, 85, formerly of Colona, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Visitation is 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 29, at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial is in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to QC Paws or another local animal shelter.

Elida was born August 29, 1940, in Rochester, New York to Paul and Bernice (Welch) Holmstrom. She married Simmons Stingley in 1958 and together they had two daughters, Christina and Pamela. They later divorced and she married James Warren in 1967, adding to their family Wanda Cordell, Sandy Kelm, Joel Warren, Jimmy Warren.

Elida worked for the Rock Island Arsenal and then spent most of her career at Farmall. She loved everything Elvis, reading, being around her family, visiting the casinos, playing cards, and being around animals.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christina (Dan) Heatherly and Pamela (Nick Tognella) Winstein; grandchildren, Jessica (Don) Adams, Alicia (Seth) Cummings, and Samuel (Victoria) Winstein; and great-grandchildren, Logan Schuchhardt, Isaac DeJonghe and Jordyn Adams.

She was proceeded in death by her husband; her parents; and stepson, Joel Warren.
