Eleisa A. Govain, 58, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, died Friday, October 18, 2024, at UnityPoint Health – Meriter Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Dr. Donald William Johnson officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Eleisa’s memory.
Eleisa Ann Govain was born January 15, 1966, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Willie Charles and Earnestine (Beavers) Govain.
She enjoyed her career as a waitress, which allowed Elesia to do what she did best, spark a conversation with anyone. She loved playing computer games and anything revolving around cooking, which was her passion. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Eleisa, with her kids and grandkids being her pride and joy.
Eleisa is survived by four children, Sakela Govain, Nickie Govain, LP Govain, and Precious Govain, all of Milwaukee; five grandchildren; her father, Willie Govain of Gary, Indiana; siblings, Felecia Norwood of Rock Island, Debra Govain of Rock Island, and Lee Govain of Rock Island; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ernestine Govain and sister, Lutricia Govain Bogguess.
