Dorothy M. Stewart, 90, of Moline, died Friday, April 1, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Mark Gehrke officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Moline.
The former Dorothy Mae Tish was born March 19, 1915, in Montezuma, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Delima (Thompson) Tish. She graduated from Swea City High School, Swea City, Iowa. She married Floyd E. Stewart on May 9, 1937, in Rock Island. She loved gardening, cooking, caring for her home, and she was devoted to her family.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Floyd; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Imogene Stewart of Dubuque, Iowa; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Gary Forret of Moline; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Marion Tish of Fairmont, Minnesota; and sisters, Mary Holm of Fairmont, Lucille Dontje of Ankeny, Iowa, and Frances Mullarkey of Moline. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly McGuire; a granddaughter, and three brothers, Raymond, Marvin, and Lawrence Tish.
