Silvis, Illinois Dorothy I. Willhite, 87, of Silvis, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch, Coal Valley. The former Dorothy Ilene Kolls was born February 28, 1916, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Annabelle (Irigh) Kolls. She married John B. Willhite on August 26, 1933, in Cambridge, Illinois. She was an athlete in her younger years, played baseball until she was 55 years old, and enjoyed bowling and exercising. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 69 years, John; a daughter, Peggy J. "Peg" Womack of Moline; a son and daughter-in-law, Berkley J. and Kathy Willhite of Moline; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Beam of Milan; and brothers Clarence Bennett Jr. of Milan and Jim Bennett of Texas.
