Dorine S. Knoeferl

Dorine S. Knoeferl, 60, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed Friday, May 29, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

A Celebration of Life honoring Dorine will be held on Saturday, June 27, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe (Lower Level), 701 12th Street, Moline, with a time of sharing for family and friends at 1:30 p.m.

Dorine Suzette Knoeferl was born June 26, 1965, in Twentynine Palms, California, the daughter of Kenneth and Carol (DeSmet) Knoeferl.

She enjoyed watching reality television and her favorite sitcom, “Friends.” She also loved spending time outdoors, whether it be boating, swimming, or simply enjoying nature and animals. She was a strong woman who beat cancer two times in her life. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and friends.

Dorine is survived by her daughter, Melissa Knoeferl of Rock Island; siblings, Debbie Johnson of Moline, Donna (Mark Benischek) Knoeferl of Davenport, Iowa, Steve (Judy) Knoeferl of Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Denise (Todd) Jacks of Moline; several nieces and nephews; and a grand-dog, Piper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Carol Knoeferl; a brother, Joel Knoeferl; and her partner, Robert Wheeler.
