Dewitt Ellis

Dewitt Ellis, 71, of East Moline, Illinois died Sunday, April 16, 2023, at home.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline.

Dewitt Ellis was born July 19, 1951, in Meridian, Mississippi, the son of Jimmie and Casstellar (Smith) Ellis.

He was a member of Pentecostal Church, in Davenport, Iowa, and enjoyed playing chess, and taking pictures.

Dewitt is survived by his daughter, Camera Ellis; brothers, Cleveland Ellis, and Derrick Ellis; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded by his parents; brothers, Jimmie Ellis Jr., Johnny Ellis, and Sylvester Ellis; and a sister, Eileen Ellis.
