Deborah K. Hasemann

April 25, 1957 — November 15, 2023

Rock Island, Illinois

The former Deborah Kay Vene was born April 25, 1957, in Rock Island, Illinois. She graduated from Rock Island High School and went on to work for several companies. She retired from The ARC of the Quad Cities Area after contributing there for many years.

A gathering to celebrate Debbie’s life will be at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Debbie was a woman of strength, courage and compassion. She was a loving mother and devoted caregiver to her daughter Ashlyn. She worked hard to provide her a loving home and spent many years teaching her and nurturing her to become the amazing woman she has become.

She enjoyed cooking shows and often tried new recipes. She never lost her love of animated films and cartoons. She and Ashlyn shared many hours watching and laughing together. She had an immense affection for animals and had many over the years. Dogs, cats, and birds were always a part of Debbie’s life. She would have taken in as many as she could. They always gave her joy and put a smile on her face. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed planting gardens that featured both flowers and vegetables.

She is survived by her brother, Don Michelsens (Elinor Hollenbeck) of Moline, Il, her sister Kathleen Pagaduan (Ray) of Arizona, nephews, Neiko and Devon Pagaduan and their three (3) children, Asher, Leuca and Grayson Pagaduan of California; niece, Judy Crane of Illinois, and her beloved dog, Gandalf. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Louise “Cookie” and Morris Vene.

Thank you to the many nurses and staff at River Crossing of Moline. They were very caring to Debbie and helpful to the family during this time. A Special Thank You to Don, Judy and Dave…You all know why.

Memorials may be made to the ASPCA established in Debbie’s memory. Condolences may be shared at CremationQC.com
