Dawn Hunter

Dawn R. Hunter, age 61, of Bettendorf, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at home. According to her wishes, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Dawn was born on June 24, 1964, in Davenport, to John and Jane (Fite) Hunter. She worked as a for over 10 years as a bartender at Mary’s on 2nd in Davenport, for 7 years at Country Oaks Rehab Center, and 13 years at Niabi Zoo. Dawn loved being around nature and water, cooking, and traveling to see new places.

Survivors include her mother, Jane Hunter; father, John Hunter; brother, Shannon Hunter; and friends, Robin and Tiffany Henderson, Linda Criswell, Lisa Cooper, Monica Nichols, Kelly Curlee, Bonnie Kent, Liz Zeroth, and Lena Pillars; and her very special puppy, Gracie May.
