David J. Nauyalis

David J. Nauyalis, 51, of Silvis, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at home.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

Dave was born July 22, 1970, in Silvis, Illinois, the son of David and Candy (Monetti) Nauyalis. He graduated from Moline High School in 1989 and took classes at Black Hawk College. He even learned to weld.

He enjoyed getting together with his friends and family. He loved playing chess and at one time belonged to the Leathernecks Chess Club. He went to lots of table tennis tournaments where he won a bunch of trophies. He recently played in a pool league and really enjoyed playing. He enjoyed his talks, visits, and playing games with his Aunt Diane Nauyalis, who was always there for him.

Dave is survived by his dad, David R. Nauyalis of East Moline; his sister, Jody (Blake) Zimmer of Moline; his nephews and niece, Anthony (Tiffany) Zimmer, Devon (Rebeca) Zimmer, and Cheyenne Zimmer; his great-niece and nephews, Christine, Lucas, Jayden, Jase and Jordyn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Candy (Monetti) Nauyalis; and his grandparents, John and Theresa Nauyalis, Doris and Harry Spears, and Eugene Monetti.
