Darlene M. Bellmyer

Darlene M. Bellmyer, 86, of Moline, Illinois, passed on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Darlene Mae Rauch was born on August 20, 1939, in Buffalo, Iowa. She married Shultze Fran Bellmyer on September 8, 1956, in Rock Island, Illinois. Together the two spent 69 years together, prior to his passing on November 22, 2023.

She found joy in spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden. She also loved traveling the Spoon River Drive, where she enjoyed shopping and taking in the scenery.

Darlene is survived by her sons, Jeff (Patti) Bellmyer of Moline, Illinois and Jerry (Lisa) Bellmyer of Cowley, Wyoming; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sharlene Beard, Carol Bond, and Kathy Heitzler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shultze; parents; brother, Richard Rauch; and a nephew, Tim Barnett

A special thank you to her niece, Cindy Martin, and former daughter-in-law, Linda Gerard, for the loving care and support they provided to Darlene when she needed it most.
