Danny R. Axtell

Danny R. Axtell, 61, of Morning Sun, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Wapello Specialty Care, Wapello, Iowa.

A gathering to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Danny Ray Axtell was born June 11, 1965, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Raymond Sr. and Opal (Krantz) Axtell. He was an auto mechanic and loved working on cars.

He is survived by three brothers, Raymond (Loretta) Axtell, Jr. of Morning Sun, Richard (Toni) Axtell of Calloway, Maryland, and David Axtell of Morning Sun, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
