Rev. Dale H. Talbot

Rev. Dale H. Talbot, 69, of Colona, Illinois, died Thursday, May 8, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Fountain of Truth Church, Colona. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Dale was born August 6, 1955, in Geneseo, Illinois, the son of Rev. Eugene and Betty Maxine (Loftin) Talbot. He married Donna Reineke on February 3, 1979.

He was a devoted pastor of Fountain of Truth Church for 23 years, faithfully serving his congregation with wisdom and compassion. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished hunting and found peace in nature. With his passion for woodworking, he crafted cherished, practical, and heartfelt gifts, reflecting his skill and creativity. Most of all, he loved being surrounded by his family, creating countless memories filled with warmth and love.

Dale is survived by his wife, Donna; five children, Hannah, Jonathan, Anthony (Carolyn), Phillip (Kaitlin), and Layla; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Rev. Ronald Talbot of Creve Coeur, Illinois, whose wife Sandra preceded him in death; a sister, Cheryl (Mike) Parker of Edwards, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
