Connie Scott

Connie E. Scott, 79, of Knoxville, Illinois, died Thursday, February 13, 2025, at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Highpoint Church, 250 S. 1st St, Monmouth, IL 61462. The family will greet friends at an afternoon meal immediately following services at the church. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Connie was born on September 5, 1945 in Avon, Illinois, the daughter of Maurice Gordon and Edith (Damitz) Geer. She was raised in Avon, where she attended local schools and graduated from Avon High School in the class of 1963. 

After her schooling Connie joined the United States Air Force and served stateside. On May 6, 2000, Connie Married James M. " Scotty " Scott in Abingdon, Illinois. He passed away on December 31, 2013.

Connie was employed as a record keeper and bookkeeper at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg for a number of years. She was a homemaker in her own home and took care of her family.

She is survived by her son, Troy Michel and Collette of North Branch, Minnesota; and two grandsons, Spencer Michel and Ryker Michel, both at home in Minnesota. She was preceded in her death by her parents; her husband; one son, Douglas; and a brother, Gale.
