With a heavy heart and a fond smile, we bid adieu to our beloved Charles L. Griffith, “Chuck” or “Griffer” as he was affectionately known, a man whose humor knew no bounds and whose love for his family was boundless. He passed away on January 24, 2024.
Join us in celebrating his life on May 18th, 2024, at the Bettendorf Community Center, located at 2204 Grant St in Bettendorf, IA, 52722 from 4:15-7:15 pm, where we'll honor the man who brought so much joy to our lives.
Charles Laverne Griffith was born March 30, 1949, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Sidney and Ruby (Saunders) Griffith. As a Navy veteran, Chuck served his country with honor, but it was his dedication to his wife, Terry, and his family that truly defined him.
Chuckles' zest for life was contagious. His jokes and delicious home-made family meals brightened the days of all who knew him. Chuck leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and warmth.
Charles is survived by his wife, Terry; stepchildren, Jeff and Deanna; granddaughters, Kelsey and Carly (Mike); great-granddaughter, Gracelyn; brothers, Vincent (Teresa) and Mike (Kim); sister, Clarice (Todd); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Ruby; stepmother, Shirley; brothers, William and Victor; sister, Sharon; and son, Nathan.
The family invites friends to share stories and condolences at TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
