Chad M. Rowley, 51, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illinois.
A hospitality gathering to celebrate Chad’s life will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe, lower level of 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a local animal shelter.
Chad Michael Rowley was born August 22, 1972, in Monroe, Louisiana, the son of Frank and Marcia (Willsher) Rowley. He married the love of his life, Lisa Scott, on April 5, 2004, in Rock Island, Illinois. He graduated from North Scott High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business degree from Western Illinois University. He worked as a budget analyst for the Department of Defense until 2022.
Chad was an avid sports fan, especially of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs, and most particularly of Caitlin Clark. He loved spending time with family and friends and took great pride in his son, Austin.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa; his parents, Frank and Marcia Rowley; his son, Austin (Paige Harlin) Rowley; grandson, Porter Rowley; sister, Lisa (Curtis) Lemley; step-daughter, Samantha (Danny) Ward; step-granddaughter, Harper Ward; and nieces, Cheyenne and Kayley.
