Chad Michael Hulbert, 48, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 3, 2021, while visiting family in his beloved state of Maryland.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 11, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place following the visitation. A celebration of Chad’s life will be held in July, and details will be announced when they are finalized.
Born on May 5, 1973, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Ben and Audrey (Heuertz) Hulbert, Chad had an amazing love for life as seen by the large number of friends he had everywhere he went. He was intelligent and quick-witted. He had a smile that everyone was familiar with. He always went out of his way to make sure people were having just as much fun as he always did. Besides spending time with family and friends, he had a huge love of Maryland sports and fantasy football. He was always known to debate anyone on why the Orioles and the Ravens were the best.
Chad is survived by his father, Ben Hulbert, of Bettendorf, Iowa; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad and Gemma Hulbert of Maryland, and Todd and Kelly Hulbert of Moline; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Bethany and Adam Fry of Hampton, Illinois, and Kristin and Rob Schumacher of Durant, Iowa. Chad was a wonderful and loving uncle to Haydn, Paytn and Carsyn Hulbert, Kennedy and Ally Schumacher, Kyla, Jace and Lilly Hulbert, and Audryn and Berkley Fry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Hulbert.
