Carole A. Jackson

Carole A. Jackson, 78, of Silvis, Illinois, passed Friday, May 29, 2026, at her residence.

Services are 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at Trimble Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Burial will be held at a later date at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.

The former Carole Ann Fetzner was born October 16, 1947, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of LeRoy and Lorraine (Donahue) Fetzner. She graduated from Alleman High School with the Class of 1965 and later attended Black Hawk College. Carole worked as a bookkeeper at K-Mart in Moline for 14 years and also worked at Black Hawk College. Although she retired in January 1997, she recently returned to work and spent the last four years employed at Stuff Etc. in Davenport.

Carole met Terrill “Terry” Jackson, and after three years together, the couple married on August 5, 1967, in East Moline. Carole always made sure to include those three years when speaking of their life together, and in 2025 they celebrated 60 years together.

She was a devoted member of Divine Mercy Parish (formerly known as Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and St. Patrick Church) in Silvis and was saddened when chemotherapy treatments over the past four months prevented her from attending Sunday services in person. She found comfort in listening to services on her phone during treatments.

Carole enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sewing, traveling each year to the family’s home in Minnesota, and, above all, spending time with her family. She was known for always putting others first, offering kindness, care, and a warm smile to everyone she met. The rock of her family, Carole’s love and presence will remain with them always.

Carole is survived by her husband, Terry Jackson of Silvis, Illinois; daughters, Paula (Scott) Pearson of Cambridge, Illinois and Amie (Michael) Stone of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Ashley Cahalan, Ben (Courtney) Jackson, Ryan (fiancé Allison) Cahalan, Logan Meier, Samantha (Brandon) Myrick, and Sydney (Cole) VanDaele; great-grandchildren, Kinley Jackson, Josie VanDaele, and Collyns Jackson; siblings, Raymond Fetzner of Rock Falls, Illinois and Frances Koch of Burkburnett, Texas; sister-in-law, Bonnie Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Lorraine Fetzner; and a brother, LeRoy R. Fetzner.
