Bonita M. Elliff

Bonita M. Elliff, 72, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Visitation is 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline.  Private family funeral services will take place with burial at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

The former Bonita Marie Mitrisin was born December 6, 1950, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Michael and Marilyn (Glosser) Mitrisin.  She married John Elliff, with whom she shared three sons before separating.  She graduated from Alleman High School and went on to worked in administration and bookkeeping in the medical field.  She most recently worked in central processing for Trinity Rock Island.

Bonnie loved collecting elephants and spending time with her family.  She relished sitting in the background watching her sons, nieces and nephews receive accolades and was very proud of them all.

She is survived by three sons, Joe (Terri) Elliff of East Moline, James Elliff of Moline, and Jason (Em) Elliff of Easton, Isle of Portland, England; five grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Christian, Cierra, and Chanelle;  brothers, Gregory Mitrisin of Moline, and Jeffrey (Laura) Mitrisin of Plainfield, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Michael Mitrisin, Amy and Kurt Rizzolo, and Alexandria Mitrisin; great-nieces and -nephews, Olivia and Jackson Rizzolo; her sister by spirit, Sandi (Blake) Dehm; bonus grandchildren, Jennifer and Jacob Dehm; and bonus son, Nathanial McIntyre.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael Mitrisin; sisters-in-law, Vickie and Charlotte Mitrisin; and a niece, Katie Mitrisin.
