Bill C. Harpole

Bill C. Harpole, 92, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at MercyOne Genisis Medical Center, Davenport.

Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 6, immediately followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church or the Quad City Symphony.

Billy Conn Harpole was born January 18, 1934, in Melrose, New Mexico, the son of Howell and Connie (Issacs) Harpole. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech and went on to marry Philippina Elizabeth Boeschoten. The couple had two sons. They enjoyed their time living overseas and extensive travel together prior to her passing on July 27, 2018.

Bill started working for Deere & Co. as an accountant before moving up with the company as an auditor, and into management. He spent a good part of his career working overseas, beginning in Frace and then in Germany. He retired in 1994 and volunteered for SCORE to help small businesses. They lived in Vancouver, Washington during retirement where they enjoyed the pacific northwest and their new neighbors and friends.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William “Stan” Harpole and Sarah Passonneau of Leipzig, Germany, and Philip “Mark” and Carol Harpole of Moline; three grandchildren, Ada, Sam, and Lizzy Harpole; and good friends, Carole Reshley and Jack Arth at Senior Star. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, David Harpole.

The family thanks the staff at Genesis East and West, the Kahl Home, and Senior Star for their care, kindness, and skill.
